Maidenhead Scout Network, now branded as M.S.N. Reformed and rejuvenated.

Open to any adult, Scouters or Guiders, male or female, who is still enthused by being active, making a difference and having fun at the same time over the age of 18.

What do we do? Just about anything! It’s up to us to do what we want.  We can get involved in activities as wide ranging as rock climbing, water skiing and hiking 50 miles in 24 hours.

We have aspirations to do an international project in Africa. We are thinking of an expedition across Africa and combining it with working with young people and helping within the local community. You can work on your Duke of Edinburgh Awards as well as the Queen’s Scout Award and Explorer Belt up to the age of 25.

For those aged 18 – 25, once you become a Network member, you can take part in pretty much any activity or event arranged by the 237 Networks there are across the UK.  This means that if you are going to university, you can join in with the University Network during term time and come back to your local Network in the holidays!

Our main base is at Longridge, but because we are an active bunch, we will probably be kayaking down Hurley weir, backpacking across the Cotswolds or mountain biking in the New Forest.  We do have some relaxing evenings, usually involving a fire.
